Elegant Entryways

B & F Homes are distinguished by entryways which feature inviting arches, tile and stone floors and other unique features. You will find an array of flooring treatments from basic ceramic to exotic natural stone imported from such places as Italy or Jerusalem.

Hardwood Floors

There is more to hardwood floors than planks of wood. Uniquely designed and patterned wood flooring can be an extraordinary addition to a home. B & F Homes uses an assortment of finishes from Brazilian walnut and cherry to hickory and oak. Harwood floors can be finished in 2 to 6 inch random patterns to create a unique look each time.

Exclusive Cabinetry

B & F Homes has an exclusive craftsman relationship with a cabinet builder/designer. Furniture-grade cabinets are custom-created with 100% 3/4 inch materials and various wood species, such as birch, alder, maple and ash. Cabinets can be completed with a variety of specialty finishes, including attractive stains and faux techniques.

B & F Homes is a frontrunner in utilizing new technologies in new home construction. Here are just some of the product types that set B & F Homes apart in the Johnson County market.

Aluminum or Vinyl Clad Windows
Utilizing well-respected manufacturers such as Weathershield, Marvin and Horizon, B & F Homes eliminate the chance of exterior wood rot from the beginning with products that are non-wood based.

Housewrap Systems
B & F Homes keeps pace with technology through the use of “housewrap systems” designed to dramatically reduce the chance of moisture or water seepage into the home. With Tyvek and Dupont products, homes are provided with extra protection while allowing water vapor to naturally pass through.

OSB (Oriented Strand Board) Sub-floor Sheathing
You will not find any plywood in a house built by B & F Homes. With products made by Oxtene and GoldEdge (providing 50-year warranties), your home will not de-laminate like many older homes which use plywood materials.

OSB (Oriented Strand Board) Wall and Roof Sheathing
Through the use of engineered and recycled products such as OSB, B & Homes builders add to your home’s lifelong durability. While the “strength yield” of OSB is higher, the actual weight of roofing and wall material is significantly lighter. Therefore, your home’s foundation is bearing less weight than houses constructed with solid wood.

Masonry-based Stucco Process
B & F Homes partners with Excel Stucco for reliably-built exteriors. The masonry-based stucco process utilizes an acrylic top coat that integrates color directly into the finish.
